Mayowa Gbenro Triumphs Against All Odds, Becomes US Attorney
In a remarkable story of determination and perseverance, Mayowa Gbenro, a Nigerian lawyer, has overcome numerous obstacles to become a licensed attorney in the United States. Despite the challenges, Gbenro successfully passed the Colorado Bar Exam, making him eligible to practice law in any UBE jurisdiction in the US.
Gbenro’s journey began in 2012 while attending the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus. A guest speaker ignited his dream of qualifying as an attorney in the US.
He discovered the University of Denver’s International Business Transactions program in 2022, which aligned with his career aspirations. He achieved his first dream of earning an LL.M.
in International Business Transactions by December 2023. With a tight two-month prep window, he registered for the February 2024 Bar Exams. Despite the challenges, he per-severed and passed the Bar exams.
Gbenro’s achievement is an inspiration to many, showcasing his unwavering dedication to his goals.
As a US Attorney, Gbenro joins the ranks of 93 United States Attorneys appointed by the President to enforce federal laws across the country. His remarkable journey serves as a testament to the power of hard work
and determination in overcoming obstacles and achieving success in a new country.
Gbenro’s story highlights the importance of perseverance and pursuing one’s dreams, even in the face of adversity. His achievement is a source of inspiration for many, demonstrating that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible. As he begins his new journey as a US Attorney, Gbenro’s story will undoubtedly continue to inspire and motivate others to chase their dreams, no matter the odds.
