Super Eagles Striker Seeks Divorce, Alleges Adultery And Kidnapping In High-Profile Legal Battle
In a dramatic legal battle unfolding at the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Super Eagles striker Kayode Olarenwaju is seeking the dissolution of his marriage to Ezinne, citing irreconcilable differences and allegations of adultery. Olarenwaju, currently based in Turkey, alleges that Ezinne engaged in repeated acts of adultery with Pastor Tobi Adegboyega and other men throughout their marriage, which began in 2013. He accuses Ezinne of neglecting their joint business ventures and undermining his investments in Nigeria. Furthermore, he claims that Ezinne abducted their children in March 2024, leading to a dramatic rescue by Department of State Services (DSS) personnel.
Ezinne, in a counter-suit, accuses Olarenwaju of baseless allegations of infidelity and witchcraft against her and her mother. She claims that Olarenwaju damaged her phone during a heated confrontation, further escalating their marital strife.
In response, Olarenwaju filed a cross-petition, detailing how Ezinne allegedly conspired with a former lover, Ugochukwu Igboanugo, to mismanage their joint properties and divert rental income for personal use.
Olarenwaju seeks custody of their children, asserting that Ezinne’s behavior, including discussing romantic and sexual matters in front of the children, compromises their educational and mental well-being. He also demands N1 billion in damages from Pastor Tobi Adegboyega for emotional trauma, financial losses, and loss of goodwill resulting from the alleged adulterous affair.
The case is scheduled for a hearing on September 24, 2024, where both parties will present their arguments before the court.
