Kid Star Makayla Malaka Thrills At All-Kid Concert

In a dazzling display of talent and enthusiasm, 12-year-old rapper Makayla Malaka recently captivated guests at her first concert, Makayla Malaka in Concert, held at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, on Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event featured an impressive lineup of kid stars, including Ugandan Internet sensations Rango TengeTenge and Ghetto-Kids, talented saxophonist Temilayo Abodunrin, Star Kids, and the hilarious duo Emmanuella and Sister Success.

Makayla, who released her fifth studio album, Twelve, on June 27, 2024, performed all 10 tracks from the album, including Watch Out, Bounce, Hard Work Pays, and I Don Try, with a live band. She also treated guests to some of her earlier songs, such as I’m Not A Morning Person, taking them down memory lane.

After the concert, Makayla expressed her excitement and gratitude, saying, “I am super excited about the outcome of the concert. I couldn’t have done it without God, my parents, my manager, the production team, as well as Rango Tenge-Tenge, Ghetto Kids, Emmanuella, Sister Success, Temilayo, and all the entertainers who graced the stage. I also appreciate everyone who came out to support me.”

The concert was a testament to the talent and potential of young artists, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. Makayla Malaka’s performance was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening, solidifying her position as a rising star in the music industry
