Tinubu Blasts Sponsors Of Planned Protests, Accuses Them Of Holding Alternative Passports
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has lashed out at the sponsors of the planned protests across the country, accusing them of not loving Nigeria and holding alternative passports.
Speaking at a meeting with governors and stakeholders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu alleged that the sponsors of the protests are not patriotic and have other countries’ passports, which they can use to flee the country if things go wrong.
“Those who are sponsoring these protests don’t love this country. They have alternative passports, and if things go wrong, they will run away and leave us to bear the consequences,” Tinubu said.
The President emphasized that the government is committed to addressing the country’s challenges but will not be intimidated by those who want to create chaos and destruction.
“We are committed to making things better, but we will not be intimidated by those who want to create chaos and destruction. We will do everything to ensure peace and stability in this country,”
Tinubu added. Tinubu’s comments come as various groups and individuals have been calling for protests against the government’s handling of the economy, insecurity, and other national issues.
