Economic prospects shine bright as we explore Nigeria’s ambitious projection of a $400 billion economy by 2026. We delve into Innoson’s groundbreaking electric vehicle lineup, a cornerstone of Nigeria’s green revolution, poised to transform the automotive landscape.
Tackling the delicate and contentious discourse, we confront former President Trump’s alarming statement regarding Israel’s existence being at risk should Kamala Harris win the highly anticipated November 5 U.S. Presidential Election. This provocative assertion raises crucial questions about political rhetoric and international relations.
Moreover, we address urgent concerns facing Africa, including evolving espionage threats highlighted by recent panic stemming from pager explosions in Beirut, devastating floods in West and Central Africa, and a rising tide of anti-foreigner sentiment worldwide. Our coverage extends to the inspiring stories of African refugees in the U.S. who are embracing agriculture as a pathway to new beginnings, alongside Arsenal’s Khari Ranson, who takes pride in his Nigerian-Ghanaian heritage.
On a more uplifting note, we introduce you to Lyzianah Emakoua, our featured Diva—a dynamic young leader and founder of the Center for Community Impact and Sustainability (CCIS). As the USA Executive Director of Hallmark International Youth Club (HIYC), Lyzianah is making significant strides in empowering communities and youth.

Gov. Soludo Engages With Ndi Anambra in the US, Highlights Three Years of Transformative Leadership
In a bid to showcase his administration’s achievements and challenges, Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, recently engaged with Ndi Anambra in the United States.
The town hall meeting, held at the Metro Point Hotel in New Carrollton, Maryland, drew members of the Anambra diaspora from across the US.
The event was attended by Nigeria’s Embassy Charge d’Affaires in Washington, DC, Ambassador Samson Itegboje, and Governor Soludo’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi.
During the meeting, Governor Soludo offered a candid account of his administration’s achievements and challenges, emphasizing transparency, participatory governance, and sustainable development.
He detailed key milestones in infrastructure, education reform, economic empowerment, and security, while inviting feedback and urging the diaspora to contribute expertise and resources to Anambra’s growth.
One of the key areas of focus for the Soludo administration has been infrastructure development.
The Governor has emphasized the importance of building modern infrastructure to support the state’s economic growth and improve the quality of life for its citizens.
Some notable infrastructure projects completed or ongoing during his administration include:
– The rehabilitation of major roads, including the Awka-Onitsha Expressway and the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway
– The construction of new roads, bridges, and culverts to improve connectivity and facilitate economic activity
– The upgrade of the state’s airport and other transportation infrastructure
These infrastructure projects have not only improved the state’s transportation network but also created jobs and stimulated economic growth.
The Soludo administration has also prioritized education reform, focusing on improving the quality of education and increasing access to education for all. Some notable initiatives include:
– The introduction of new curricula and teaching methods to enhance the quality of education
– The provision of scholarships and other forms of support to deserving students
– The upgrade of school infrastructure, including classrooms, libraries, and laboratories
These initiatives have not only improved the quality of education in Anambra State but also increased access to education for all, particularly in rural areas.
The Soludo administration has also launched several initiatives aimed at promoting economic empowerment and entrepreneurship in Anambra State. Some notable initiatives include:
– The provision of microfinance loans and other forms of support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
– The establishment of business incubation centers to support start-ups and entrepreneurs
– The promotion of agriculture and other key sectors to drive economic growth
These initiatives have not only created jobs and stimulated economic growth but also empowered citizens to take charge of their economic destiny.
The Soludo administration has also prioritized security, recognizing its importance in creating a conducive environment for economic growth and development. Some notable initiatives include:
– The deployment of additional security personnel to hotspots and other areas of concern
– The upgrade of security infrastructure, including surveillance cameras and other technology
– The promotion of community policing and other forms of partnership with security agencies
These initiatives have not only improved security in Anambra State but also enhanced the safety and well-being of citizens.
The town hall meeting in the US is part of the Soludo administration’s efforts to engage with the diaspora community and promote collaboration and investment in Anambra State.
The Governor has recognized the essential role that the diaspora plays in the state’s development, calling for increased partnership and knowledge transfer.
“We believe that Anambra belongs to all of us, and our progress depends on the collective efforts of our people, at home and abroad,” Soludo stated.
“We urge the diaspora to contribute their expertise and resources to Anambra’s growth, and we are committed to creating an enabling environment for investment and development.”
Diaspora Watch reports that the meeting provided a platform for the diaspora to interact with the Governor, share their concerns, and contribute to the state’s development.
As Anambra State looks to the future, it is clear that the collective efforts of its people, at home and abroad, will be critical to its progress and prosperity.
The Soludo administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, education reform, economic empowerment, and security has laid a solid foundation for growth and development.
With the diaspora community playing an increasingly important role in the state’s development, Anambra State is poised for a brighter future.
