Peter Psquare Unleashes Fury On Twin Brother

In a heartfelt and candid open letter, Peter Okoye, one half of the iconic Nigerian music duo P-Square, has responded to his brother Paul’s recent comments, shedding light on the ongoing tensions within the group. Peter, known professionally as Mr. P, expressed his deep frustration over Paul’s repeated attempts to discredit his contributions to the duo, which once reigned supreme in the African music scene.

“My dear brother Paul, as I’ve told you many times, I’m not in competition with you or anyone else,” Peter began, addressing Paul’s claims in multiple interviews that he was the driving force behind P-Square’s success. Paul, who goes by the stage name Rudeboy, has publicly stated that he wrote and sang 99% of the duo’s hits, downplaying Peter’s role in their shared legacy.

Peter took issue with Paul’s remarks, particularly his dismissal of the song “Ejeajo,” which Peter wrote. Paul had used the song’s YouTube views as evidence to label it a failure, a move that Peter found deeply hurtful. “You never acknowledged the other songs like ‘Get Squared,’ ‘Bizzy Body,’ ‘Personally,’ ‘Temptation,’ ‘Alingo,’ and many more. Were these songs failures too?” Peter questioned, highlighting the collective effort that made P-Square a household name.

Reflecting on their journey, Peter emphasized that P-Square’s magic lay in their unity. “The fans didn’t fall in love with P-Square because of who sang or danced the most. What made us special was the magic that came from our combined effort—us two!” he wrote, reminding Paul that their success was a result of their unique synergy, not individual accomplishments.

Peter also addressed the personal toll of their feud, revealing the strain it has placed on their relationship. He lamented Paul’s decision to align with their older brother Jude, whom Peter believes has been a source of division. “You have disrespected my wife, my family, my talent, and my ideas. Now, it feels like you’re trying to turn the fans against me by making them believe I’m jealous of you,” Peter stated, expressing his disappointment over what he sees as a deliberate campaign to marginalize him.

Despite the ongoing tension, Peter’s letter was not without a sense of closure. “I genuinely wish you nothing but the best, bro!” he concluded, signaling his desire to move forward, albeit separately. He also hinted at addressing recent legal issues involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), promising to speak out by the end of the day.

As P-Square’s rift continues to unfold publicly, fans are left grappling with the reality that the duo’s glory days may be behind them. Peter’s emotional appeal underscores the deep divisions that have rocked the once-unbreakable bond between the brothers, leaving many to wonder if reconciliation
